Deal Management

About

At the heart of the reseller portal is the ability for you – the reseller – to register new deals with us and keep us informed about the progress being made on the deals you are working on.

If you are the first reseller to register a deal with us and you eventually go on to win the business you will be eligible for a rebate on the licences you purchase from us. By informing us of any deals that you have in the pipeline as early as possible, you increase your chances of receiving a rebate and allow us to support you better throughout the sales process and right through to rollout.

Registering a new Deal with us

It is really simple to register new deals with us once you have completed your registration and have access to the portal. To register a new deal with us:

  1. Login to the reseller portal.
  2. Click on the ‘Register New Deal’ button.01
  3. Fill-in the deal name and the deal end user.02
  4. Optionally, provide us with your reference.*
  5. Select an available distributor by clicking on the search button to the right of the preferred distributor field. The distributor that you select will potentially impact the products that you can select as not all distributors are able to sell all products. The distributor can be changed at any time. Select a distributor in order to order 3 Year licences indirectly or leave this blank to order 1 Year licences direct from us03
  6.  In the new window that opens click on the distributor that you would like to purchase your licences through. Once clicked, the window will automatically close and the distributor field will automatically be populated with the name of the selected distributor.04
  7. Enter the expected close date for the deal. This is the date that you expect to close the deal and place an order for licences. This can not be a date in the past and can be no further than 6 months in the future.05
  8. Optionally, add any additional, relevant information about the deal.
  9. Next, add the products to the deal. Click on the product search button next to the product description box to open up a list of available products. If you can not find the products you require, please try a different distributor or contact sales@signagelive.com for more information.06
  10. Click on a product to select it. The product selection window will close and the product will automatically be added to the selected line.
  11. Enter the quantity of the selected product required. In total each deal must contain a minimum of 10 licences to be accepted.
  12. Optionally, add additional products by clicking on the ‘New Line’ button and repeating steps 9 – 11.07
  13. Click the ‘Register’ button to register the new deal.
  14. You will be redirected to the detail page for the newly registered deal. New deals that are registered with must be manually approved by a member of our sales team. You will be notified by email when one of our team has reviewed your deal.08

* This can either be your reference or the distributor that you purchase your licences through.

Viewing and Editing Deals

As a standard user, you can view any deals that you are assigned to. As an administrator, you can view all deals associated with your account. You can view any deal that you have permissions to view and edit a deal by clicking on the deal from the main deals page.

The deal detail page shows:

  • The basic deal details and state.
  • The products associated with the deal.
  • The change history for the deal.

From the deal detail page, you can:

  • Edit the deal – change the basic deal details, or update the deal products.
  • Cancel the deal.
  • Reopen the deal if it has automatically expired or been cancelled.
  • Mark the deal as Won.

Editing Deals

You can edit a deal at any time providing you have the correct permissions to manage the deal. To edit a deal:

  1. Login to the reseller portal.
  2. Find the deal in the list of deals available on the ‘Deal Management’ page.
  3. Click on the link to view the deal.
  4. Click the ‘Edit’ button in the top-right corner to load the edit form.10
  5. Modify the deal.
  6. Click ‘Save’ to save your changes.

Reassign a Deal to a different Team Member

Administrators can reassign a deal to a different team member. To do this:

  1. Login to the reseller portal.
  2. Find the deal that you need to reassign and click on the deal to view it.
  3. Click the ‘Edit’ button to load the edit form.10
  4. Use the lookup button to change the ‘Assigned Deal Manager’.15
  5. Click ‘Save’ to save your changes.

Cancelling a Deal

You can cancel a deal at any time providing you have permissions to manage the deal. Cancelling a deal will close the deal and make it uneditable. A deal that has been cancelled can be re-opened at a later date. If you would like to cancel a deal:

  1. Login to the reseller portal.
  2. Find and click on a deal you want to cancel to load the deal details page.
  3. Click on the ‘Cancel Deal’ button.09
  4. Provide a reason for cancelling the deal from the drop-down selection.12
  5. Click ‘Continue’ to proceed and cancel the deal.

Re-opening a Deal

A deal can be reopened if it has expired due to inactivity or if it has been cancelled. To reopen a deal:

  1. Login to the reseller portal.
  2. Find and click on a deal you want to reopen to load the deal details page.
  3. Click on the ‘Reopen Deal’ button.14

Marking a Deal As Won

You should only ever mark a deal as won if you are confident that the deal has been completed and you will be placing an order with us for licences. If you have won a deal and will be placing an order for Signagelive licences, you can inform us that the deal has been won. To mark a deal as won:

  1. Login to the reseller portal.
  2. Click on the deal you want to mark as won.
  3. Click the ‘Mark Deal As Won’ button.11
  4. Optionally, provide a customer reference.
  5. Optionally, update the deal close date.13
  6. Click ‘Continue’ to save the changes.
